Pakistan Navy's Tariq Class (UK-Amazon Type-21) Frigates


Pakistan Navy is operating six Tariq Class Frigates. These are Ex UK Amazon Type-21 Frigates. These six frigates replaced Pakistan Navy's Badr and Saif Class frigates which where returned back to United states at the end of its lease term. Upon delivery these frigates underwent upgrade to equip them with the 9LV Mk3 command, control and communication system as well as Bofors torpedoes and the BAeSEMA Thomson Sintra active towed array sonar.

Pakistan Navy's six Tariq Class Frigates were names as, PNS Tariq (Serial Number 181), Babur (Serial Number 182), Khaibar (Serial Number 183), Badr (Serial Number 184), Tippu Sultan (Serial Number 185), Shahjahan (Serial Number 186)
